Capture those sweet bump moments and memories
1 – Timing
Want to capture that sweet bump without feeling totally huge? Then aim to set a shoot date toward the end of your second trimester or beginning of your third when that bump is super adorable and you still have the energy to get dollied up and walk around in dresses and heels if you want to. (Our suggestion Weeks 26 – 30)
2 – Location
Choosing a location is tricky (we know) but think of a place that has special meaning to you or a place that provides a beautiful backdrop for your images. Somewhere that will offer us some variation in light and color would be perfect.
* Still unsure about a location… leave it up to us. Tell us what the feel is you would like in your images and we can help you find a spot, we live in beautiful Paarl and have a few nearby go-to places you can consider.
We love playing with the sun to create magical and emotional images
3 – Style Choices
Most importantly; be yourself. You can go for flattering dresses to show off that cutie bump of yours. Flowy styles are a favorite, or opt for a tight/striped number to enhance your belly if you’re doing the shoot a bit early on in your pregnancy.
4 – Hair and Makeup
Creating a human is tough business so treat yourself to a bit of pampering with professional hair and makeup! There’s no doubt that you deserve it. You’ve probably already got a beautiful mama-to-be glow going on, but the extra fancying will be so much fun.
5 – Props
Include things that are special to you. Whether that’s a darling little pair of shoes you bought for baby or his/her first teddy bear. These little trinkets and treasures are things you’ll love looking back on after baby has arrived and for the years to come.
